Interesting Fact

Hans Merensky collected newspaper clippings for each day of 1929 from The Rand Daily Mail,Sunday Times and The Star.See above an example taken from Rand Daily Mail,9th January 1929,Scenes from the Holfontein Diggings.
The articles included in this blog post is the story of the beginning of Pretoriana. The very first delivery of the journal was in September 1951, and was printed at "Trio Drukkery" in Vermeulenstreet. On the front cover of the first four Pretoriana journals (1951-1955), is a drawing of the church on Church Square.
